Rand in her own words

Rand from Jordan. I am 28, my height is 159 cm, and I used to weigh 102 kg.

I want to tell you about my experience with the sleeve. I tried every way to lose weight: diets, exercise and slimming pills, and I even had a gastric balloon. I might lose weight, but after a while the weight I lost came back, so my final decision was to have a sleeve.

Thank God I had it and the surgery was successful, and now, thank God, my health is excellent. I sincerely thank Dr. Mohammad Abdulwahab Al-Zaitawi for everything: the medical side, the way he treats people, and the results. I thank the whole medical team, especially dietitian Sally Abdo and Nabila.

Thank God, 3 months after the surgery I have lost 23 kg and I now weigh 78 kg. I advise anyone with excess weight to have the surgery without hesitation, because it is the final solution to obesity 😊😊😊

Doctor's comment

A gastric balloon is a temporary solution that is removed after a few months, so many patients regain weight after removal unless their eating habits change permanently. A sleeve permanently reduces stomach size and the hunger hormone, making it more effective in the long term for those who qualify. Losing 24 kg in 3 months is an excellent start, and weight loss usually continues through the first year. Women are advised to postpone pregnancy for 12 to 18 months after surgery until weight stabilizes. Results vary from patient to patient.
