Weam in her own words

Previous weight: 94 kg Current weight: 60 kg Ideal weight: 57 kg 💪

I am Weam Ananzeh from Jordan. Exactly a year before the surgery I was a body without a soul, just fat living without a soul. My mood was low and I had no desire for anything: not holidays, not occasions, not going out, nothing. I ate any food in front of me without thinking, and it backfired: whenever I felt down, I ate more and more.

Until the day came when I started seeing people and relatives of mine changing for the better, and honestly I felt jealous: how did they lose so much weight and change their lives?

After thinking about the surgery for two whole years, with everyone telling me “be careful, it’s scary, it’s dangerous” and so on, I decided to do it, and God made it easy for me and sent me a good-hearted doctor. Whatever I say will not do him justice. May God open doors for you, Dr. Mohammad, wherever you are, and provide for you from where you never expect. Dr. Sally and the whole medical team were more than wonderful.

It has been almost a year since the surgery and, thank God, I feel I was born again this year. My holiday feels like two holidays, and my joy when my size dropped from L/XL is indescribable...

I encourage anyone who is hesitant and afraid: don’t listen to what people say, put your trust in God and choose the right doctor, and God willing it will go smoothly ❤️

Dr. Mohammad Al-Zaitawi is the most wonderful person. #ThankYou ❤️

Doctor's comment

Emotional eating linked to stress is very common in people with obesity. A sleeve helps by reducing hunger and portions, but emotional support and changing habits are an essential part of success. It is natural for those around you to be worried, but the decision is best based on medical advice and accurate information. Losing 34 kg and getting close to ideal weight in under a year is an excellent result, and we recommend continuing protein, exercise, vitamins and follow-up. Results vary from patient to patient.
